Welcome to Queensland Buses - a website which is solely dedicated to providing an accurate portrayal of all bus services operating throughout the state of Queensland.
Queensland Buses was formed in April 2009, and since then has been providing an informative service to the public, with detailed information on bus operators throughout Queensland, and the many urban, school and long distance route services that they respectively perform.
In Queensland, bus services come under the following three categories:
- TransLink - Providing all urban and some school services within the South East Queensland region.
- Qconnect - Providing all urban and some school services in large regional towns, such as Cairns, Bundaberg and Warwick, as well as a range of Long Distance Coach Services.
- Department of Transport and Main Roads - Providing the remaining school services in numerous towns throughout Queensland, most in rural and regional areas.
These departments are all part of the Queensland Government, and it is their respective jurisdiction to provide the provision of both urban, school and long distance route services throughout the Queensland area.
All these routes are not physically run by the government, but are merely managed by each respective department and are subcontracted out to over 1000 bus operators in the state of Queensland alone.
It is this websites sole aim to cover as much as possible on these operators and bus routes which operate in the state of Queensland. However, this website is in no way related to, or involved with any of the aforementioned departments, it is merely a third party depiction through a wide range of sources.
